Q. What are conference minutes?
A. Conference minutes are the total amount of minutes used during your conference, calculated by multiplying the number of participants by the minutes your web conferencing lasted.
Example:
10 participants (including moderator)
x 30 minute call
300 minutes used
Q. Is there a penalty for cancelling the Annual Plan?
A. The monthly amount is based upon an annual contract rate. If you decide to terminate the Zip Conferencing services before the expiration of the contract, you will be billed for the remaining months of your contract.
Q. How do I change my service plan?
A. Go to My Account, to change from a monthly to an annual plan at any time. The discounted rate will be reflected in your next invoice. You can also add Audio to a web-only plan at any time. You cannot switch from an annual plan to a monthly plan unless you the terms of your original contract have been met.
Q. What taxes and fees are charged?
A. ZipConferencing.com is obligated to collect the following taxes and fees:
Taxes:
Alabama - Alabama Sales Tax of 6% applies to all participants on a call who originate their connection from Alabama.
City of Chicago - The Chicago Simplified Telecommunications Tax of 7% applies to all participants on a call who originate their connection from the city of Chicago.
Connecticut - Connecticut Sales Tax of 6% applies to all participants on a call who originate their connection from Connecticut.
Illinois - Illinois Sales Tax of 7% applies to all participants on a call who originate their connection from Illinois.
Massachusetts - Massachusetts Sales Tax of 5% applies to all participants on a call who originate their connection from Massachusetts.
New York - NY State of 2.5% applies to all participants who originate their call from New York.

Gov't Surcharge Recovery Fee (also called Universal Service Fee) - 1.3% on all charges Telecommunications Infrastructure Maintenance Fee - 0.5% on all charges

Q. What is the Gov't Surcharge Recovery Fee?
A. Zip Conferencing, like other conferencing providers, is obligated to charge the Government Surcharge Recovery Fee, also known as the Regulatory Cost Recovery Fee and the Universal Service Fee, at a rate of 1.3% on customer invoices for all audio-conferencing services. This is a fee mandated by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), based on each provider's interstate and international end-user revenues derived from providing audio conferencing, web conferencing and other telecommunications services.
