This is what attracts most women to our clubs!

Fortunately for you women, Ladies First utilizes a hydraulic circuit training program which has helped many women shed "tons" of fat pounds. (See our fitness section for more information about our circuit training program).

For those ladies who "feel the need" to shed those unwanted inches faster, Ladies First also provides supplemental fat burning instruments.

QUESTION 1:
What is your goal, to lose weight or burn fat? Many people lose weight and are still not satisfied with the way they look. They thought that just by losing weight their bodies would be much firmer. But when they look in the mirror, this is not the case. The reason is because these people focused their attention solely on losing weight. The problem with this is that a lot of the weight they are losing is not all fat. Hate to break the news to you, but these people, in addition to losing fat, are also losing a lot of muscle. These people may even look ill because their bodies have lost all definition. In addition, they probably deprived their bodies of many necessary nutrients. Why has this happened? It happened because their focus was to JUST LOSE WEIGHT. So the question remains, what is your goal, to lose weight or burn fat? Hopefully, you've answered burn fat. At Ladies First, our goal is to help you do just that. This is why we use the term "burning fat" more frequently than "losing weight".

QUESTION 2:
How does Ladies First help you achieve this goal? All of our facilities are equipped with a variety of "fat burning" programs. Some of these programs are standard in all of our facilities; others are optional and vary from one facility to another. (Check with your local Ladies First to see which programs are available.)

Which programs are standard in all Ladies First facilities?

1) Circuit Training: Our main burner! This is our 5 star program which is designed to put your body into a fat burning cycle as you work every major muscle. This helps to insure proper muscle toning and avoid any muscle loss.

2) Ladies First Weight Management / Body Re-Shaping Program: Our supplemental 12 week program coupled with our circuit training program is ideal for those women who need that little extra to help them achieve their goals. Throughout the 12 week program, our ladies are monitored and evaluated weekly through weight and measurement checks and body fat analysis. This program helps educate our women and provides new menus and diets for them to follow throughout the week.

What are some other weight loss programs that I might find at Ladies First?

Most of our facilities will provide a variation of the services listed below:

Dry Sauna:

Why dry sauna? The dry sauna is the healthy sauna. Unlike steam saunas, dry saunas heat up your core temperature before warming your skin. This, in turn, causes you to sweat, excreting waste products such as chemicals and toxins from your body. Of course, sweating also helps speed up your weight loss. Unlike the steam sauna, when you get out of the dry sauna you should feel energized and alive rather than tired and sluggish.

Synergie Massage:

1) What is Synergie? Synergie is a non-surgical vacuum massage. This treatment technology was first used in Europe more than 10 years ago. Synergie has been scientifically proven to get rid of that ugly, unwanted, dreaded cellulite as well as help shed inches off the waist, hips and thighs. Integrating Synergie treatments with proper nutrition and our circuit training program will accelerate the process of losing those unwanted inches, especially in those "problem areas".

2) How do Synergie treatments feel? Synergie treatments are painless, non-invasive and comfortable. You literally receive a deep, invigorating massage. Most clients fall asleep during treatments because it is so relaxing.

Ladies First "Electrosage":

What the heck is Ladies First electrosage? Our electrosage is a combination of swedish massage and electrical muscle stimulation. There are only two areas where our members can choose to have the muscle stimulation. These areas are either the stomach or the gluteus maximus (that's your butt, ladies!). The total session lasts approximately 1 hour. In that hour, you will receive a 1 hour swedish massage simultaneously with the 1/2 hour muscle stimulation to the area of your choice. This way, that muscle gets to exercise while you get to relax.
